Informazioni Generali
On behalf of the Scientific Faculty and the Organizing Committee, we are
pleased to invite you to take part in the 11th International Dissection Course
that will take place in the Department of Anatomy and Histology of the Miguel
Hernández University, San Juan de Alicante (Spain).
This course is aimed at Plastic Surgeons, Neurosurgeons, Orthopaedic
Surgeons and Hand Surgeons who want to improve their technical skills in
peripheral nerve surgery and palliative tendon transfers on the upper and
lower limb.
The course consists in discussion time on clinical anatomy, dissection techniques
and lectures delivered by experts in the field, followed by practical sessions
with cadaver dissection performed directly by the participants.
The Anatomy Department of the M. Hernandez University is world-renowned
for the high quality of its anatomical preparations.
The Thiel-embalmed cadaver specimen that are used in the cadlab preserve
the texture, mobility and colour of living tissues, providing a high-fidelity
anatomical model, especially suited for microsurgical dissection and nerve
reconstruction training.
The training will be on one whole body every two participants, resulting in one
half of the body for each participant.
Participation to the dissection course is limited to 30 surgeons accepted on a
“first registered, first served” basis.
